People we are working closely with

Probably one of our most important reasons for existing is to preserve the countryside for future generations. We are incredibly pleased to be working with the Wild Life Trust of South and West Wales. They will be present at our Machen race. We donated funds to them from the summer Radyr race. They manage and maintain Coed y Bedw woodland, which is a critcially important nature reserve. I am sure most of you will have visited it at some time.

CAVRA provide medical cover for our races. We deliberately use them as they support our emergency services in search and rescue, and during extreme weather events such as floods. Hopefully they will never need to rescue you, but its great to know that you have supported them

People our volunteers have asked us to support

After the tragic suicide of both teachers and students in local schools, our volunteers wished to try and support those working hard in those schools. It is very dear to many of us

Something that has affected some of our volunteers, or people they love. SANDS has provided equipment and support to our local hospitals

One of our other key objectives is to build communities, both within the running community, and within the communities in which we all exist. Our Radyr Races are part of the Radyr & Morganstown Festival. We seek to run the race on the same day as the Festival in the Park. After your race, you can go and enjoy the music, food and drinks with the local community. These are the local Charities that have been supported by the festival, and part of your entry fee has supported them.

How Much

We have run Radyr Races three times now - unfortunately the covid gap meant we couldn't grow as quickly as we would have liked. We are fully operational now, and building our races to do more for the environment and our communities.

Over the two races we have given over £2500 toward the causes above
